God has been talking to people since the beginning of time. The bible reveals that God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He still talks to His people. He loves to fellowship with His children. God will talk to anyone who desires to hear from Him and is willing to listen for greater wisdom, knowledge and revelation. Here are a few ways one can know he has heard from God.

Step1
Become acquainted with how God communicates with people by reading and studying the Word of God.
Step2
Recognize that God communicates and speaks to mankind in many ways. Sometimes He speaks through the Word of God, through life’s experiences, through dreams and visions, through people and even audibly. Your answer may even come through a song or a child.
Step3
Believe in God’s Power, His Word, His ability and how He operates.
Step4
Take Him at His Word. When God gives you an answer to prayer or simply chooses to speak to you and you really believe in your heart that God has spoken to you, then only believe.
Step5
Ask God to confirm what you believe you have heard from Him. God will give confirmation generally by two or three ways or people (witnesses). God is such a merciful, loving God that He will actually confirm His word and promise to you time and time again.
Step6
Trust in the Lord and do not lean to your own “limited” understanding. God is supernatural and works in supernatural ways. Cast down all fear, doubt and unbelief.

Know that God never contradicts himself.
- Ask yourself, “Is the thing I think I heard in accordance with the Bible and what I know about his character through my studying the Bible?”

Act upon it!
-If you think you heard from God knowing these previous two things, act on it! Do what he says no matter the cost, for the Bible says he will reward those who are faithful to him. God stays true to his word and is always ready and willing to help those who follow him.
Step3
Know that if it turned out not be from God, you have not done anything wrong, because you have not acted against the Bible. If it was from God, GREAT JOB! You have learned more about his voice.
